Change!

Adjusting to having two children has been going allot better than I thought that it would be. The only difference is that it takes a bit longer to get ready to go some place.
The first Sunday after we had Michael my amazing husband let me sleep in till 8 and I was very thankful for the extra rest.
The only thing was I had allot more to do that Sunday than I did in the past. We only ended up being about five minuets late though.
Now I find myself laying in bed Saturday night thinking about all the different outfits Kaite and I could wear the next day. I don't get them out on Saturday night for one reason!
I have a very fickle personality and I change my mind allot! Even Michael jr gets a wardrobe change a few times before I think he looks okay!

In other news Kaite just had her 4th birthday. We had a great time and was very happy that Grandma and Grandpa Black were able to drive up from Ky for the party. Also Aunt Cory got to be there to make it great.
I wish that some of my family could have been there but that's what you get when you have a few brothers and sisters that live in different states and have many things going on in their life's!
I thank God that they are all serving Him.
Also Kaite was very excited to start Master Club this week and she feels very grown up.
I hope that you can enjoy the pics!

Baby is here!

Michael Jr.

3:45 a.m. on Aug 28th I woke to a kinda hard contraction. Thinking I had peed my pants again I got up and ran to the bathroom. No thoughts of "hey the baby is coming" entered my mind because I had had allot of labour pains that just came and went and I did not think this was any different. Until they just did not stop... so I got into the shower to see if that would make me feel any better because I remember a friend of mine telling me that's what she did. I did not have to time the contractions because they were coming pretty fast, and to tell you the truth I did not even think about it.

I did not want to wake Michael up for false labour and I wanted to make sure it was not me imaging things. I finally gave into the fact that I was in labour around 4:15 give or take a minute.

I woke Michael and he did so good, he just asked me if I was sure it was time and I said yeah I think so. I guess the look on my face every two minuets was not enough to convince him it was really happening.

So we went threw the steps of getting out the door and to the hospital.

Clothes, contacts, shoes, feed the dog and put extra paper down, get the kid and the bags. Oh yeah and call the babysitter.

Who happened to be way more excited than me. So she thought.

And soon we were out the door and on our way to drop Kaite off and my friend Amy's house.

Then we had a slight dilemma seeing how neither one of us had ever been to the hospital before we did not know really where it was. Needless to say we did end up finding it.

We also ended up having Amy meet us at the hospital seeing how she said that we would never make it in time if we dropped Kaite off. So there she was waiting for me at the front of the hospital with a wheel chair and a great big smile.

She took Kaite and the car so that we could get right in.

I was so surprised at how fast the hospital came to life. As soon as I got into the room they were pulling me onto the bed and hooking me up to all kinds of stuff. The only thing that they did not get hooked up was my IV and that meant no drugs.

I was ticked because I wanted something to make the pain stop or at least go away a little big. They were going to give me just a local pane med to just take the edge off but they had trouble finding my veins. I mean really, they are them BIG BLUE things that run all up and down my very WHITE arm.

About five minuets after i got on the bed I told the nurse that I was pushing and she looked at me and said "NO, don't push"

"I can't help it" I said " its not me its my body"

It was okay because a few seconds later my midwife showed up and told me to get to it. She was great and I must say that after I started to push the pain kinda went away and I did not hate the nurses anymore for not getting me my drugs.

After Michael made his grand entrance at 5:36 a.m. the nurse and I were laughing at how she thought she was going to have to deliver the baby.

All in all I had a great delivery and was treated very nice by the nurses (even though I screamed allot and Michael said I bit him) and I loved my midwife, and the whole hospital! The food was pretty good for hospital food!
