Is she two or six?

Last night as my small family gathered around the table to eat we conversed about how are day went and all the fun stuff that went on in it.

Michael and I had decided to take Kaitlynn to the park after supper and were trying to get her to eat her food. She likes to TALK rather than eat!

The conversation went as such....

"Katie take a bite of your steak its good." Daddy said

"I don't like it." Katie grumbled

" Kaitlynn take a bite of your mashed potato's." I said

" I don't want to."

" Kaitlynn if you don't eat your mashed potato's your not going to the park."

And as cute at a button she bobs her head back and forth and looks at me with this stuck up looks and says, " WHATEVER"

WHERE ON EARTH DID SHE HEAR THAT?

Yes I know probably me or Michael. Michael and I at first did not know what to do. She is not even three yet.

Ahhh what will she say next!

Job or Home?

As I was lugging my fifth load of laundry up the second flight of steps I was thinking to myself.
"Do I work more at home or at work." As I thought about that I tried to compare my actual job that I get paid for and my job that God gave to me.
I went threw my morning as if I were opening the Barrel (a.k.a Cracker Barrel) and then went threw my morning with staying at home.
I have weighed it out and have decided that I definitely work more at home!
I think that the only difference is I love doing (some times) the things at home.
Could it be that God specifically designed my body to do the things that it takes to keep a home. Like; cooking, cleaning, laundry, teaching, and that is just those things in groups. We all know what cleaning really holds for us.
And I must say that an eight hour or even a seventeen hour day at work is much less rewarding by the end of it.
I agree we all love to see the paycheck at the end of the week, but I also love to see the look in my little girls eyes when she spies one of my peanut butter cookies that are cooling.
Or the satisfied look on my husbands face when he sees there is a meal prepared for him when he gets home
I remember when we were kids and we would cook and clean all day, and the boys would come home from work and ask us as we all sat around the supper table.
"So....what did you all do today?" we would laugh inside our self. I am sure we wanted to tell them what they wanted to hear
"Oh, nothing just sat around all day in the bathtub and read a book wile I sipped on seven up and fruit punch."Hehehe
A man works from dusk till dawn but a woman's work is NEVER done!
