I am soooo very excited right now and I am even more excited to tell you why I am so excited!
Lol, yes I know that was quite a tongue twister!
I FINALLY GOT A NEW STOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For those of you who don't know that my poor stove had started to give up the ghost, so to speak.
I have been looking for a stove for a very long time and praying that God would supply my need. I have been bargain hunting, and to just about every yard sale in the area, and just about every where you could imagine!
I got the best call any woman could receive ( I think) around three thirty this evening. It was from a very good friend of mine that goes to church with me and she said.
"Rachel you don't happen to need a stove do you, I think I remember some one saying you do."
"Oh yes Lisa I have been looking every where for one" I answered excitedly ( we are not in the position to purchase one right now)
"Well I have one that was used for about a year and I don't use it anymore because when we moved to the new house it did not fit right so we bought a new one." I thought that I was going get sick, all kinds of things popped in to my head.
Oatmeal cookies, peach cobbler, apple pie, casserole! It had been a wile since I cooked in a oven because the heating element we out in mine!
"Yes I would love to have the stove and thank you so much." I was jumping around the house when Michael got home from work. I think it scared him seeing how I don't get to worked up over things.
I must say though going without will prepare you to be happy when you finally get what you need!
I just thought that I would let you all in on that BIG part of JOY that happened this week!

Father!

Faithful
Accepting
Teaching
Helpful
Exceptional
Rescuer
Some of these things ran threw my mind when I sat down and thought of MY Father!
Dad has always been so Faithful to his word and to Gods. When dad said something that was it and he stuck to it!
There has been so many times I have been scared to tell my father things and you would think after twenty four years I would have learned that no matter what his kids put him threw (allot) he is still always there to Accept them. I know that it's very hard sometimes but I thank God every day for a great Father who accepts me and my siblings for all of our faults!
Teaching wow so many times I remember him helping me with things. I remember a time when he attempted to teach me to paint, I am soo sorry dad I know I am no artist.
He has always been patient with me in all my backwards ways!
To bring to mind a time when I was helping build something in the house that he was building. He told me to hammer something in and I was having a hard time using the hammer. Dad smiled and told me "Rachel use your imagination and do what feels comfortable" well I guess he did not expect me to drive the nail in wile I was standing backwards and upside down. I am sure I was a site! But I did get the nail in! lol
Helpful has always been one of my dads great traits! When some one was in need dad would be the first to help them out.
I remember my sister and I sitting next to him all bundled up as we drove threw the small town we lived in plowing people out in the winter!
More than one time I have had to call my dad for help, even if it was for hey where is that verse in the bible! Dad is always my first pick for answering any kind of hard question!
I have way too much to say on Exceptional other than dad has always been an exceptional dad. I have never felt unsafe around him because I know that no matter what or where dad can fix it! I believe he could really make a silk purse out of a sows ear!
Dad has been my Rescuer more than one time! I guess the time that always sticks out in my mind was when he was there for me in a very hard time in my life, you might laugh but when I was about ten I accidentally killed a cat (my sisters) and I just knew that dad could bring him back to life!
I was devastated when he couldn't' I cried and cried and I remember dad coming to my room and just letting me cry on his shoulder!
I always know that dad is there to rescue me from my troubles! And he is always there for me to cry on!
I know that my husband is a great Father and I definitely see him having the same great quality's that my dad has!
Thanks Dad for being a great Father to me!

My Baby!

My baby is growing up so fast and it makes me want to cry!
It seems like every time I turn around she is learning something new or saying something that makes Michael and I look at each other and say "Where did she learn that?"
I love picking he up from Sunday school and hearing about what she learned!
Last week it was about baby Moses and she was very excited to tell me all about the story!
The one week that just put Michael and I speechless was when she learned about baby Isac and just for fun Michael asked her who baby Isac's mom was and believe it or not she knew the right answer!
It amazes me how much kids retain stuff and how fast they pick up on things!
After her visit to the Doctor to get her booster shots she now thinks that all of her baby dolls need shots! So she loads them up in their pumpkin seat and hauls them off to her doctor's office! I ask her what she is doing and she replies.
"Baby's needs shots" I guess its good that she is not scared of the Doctor like I thought she would be!
It scares me to think about how she is already going to turn three in the next three months, and how before I know it she is going to be begging me for the keys to the car and wanting to stay out late!
My mom always told us and I quote!
"There is nothing good to do after ten so be home by then." Now that I am all grown up I happen to agree with her!
Earlier today I could hear the beeping of the Microwave and I was sure that Katie was pushing buttons like she loves to do! She is fascinated with the machine!
Well I told her Katie leave the microwave alone! and to my surprise she said.
"The baby's bottle in the microwave."
At first It thought she said that her BABY was in the microwave but it was just the bottle. I don't know where she got that either seeing how non of the baby's she has been around have been bottle fed! But That is another story for another time! hehe

Welcome to America!
Its nice to know that my sis and her family made it SAFELY across the border and are now back in the good old USA!
Don't worry Jane I am still working on Michael about spending Thanksgiving with MY family! I guess we will see how well I have learned to use these big brown eyes! lol
I have never been very good at trying to get my way using charm or by being sweet!
I remember always sending Beth my older sister (much much older ;) ) to do our talking when we needed the T.V for a girls night or maybe to talk our (much much older) brother into taking us to town for pizza and a movie!
Amazing enough she always got the job done! I guess you could say I have seen the best at work! lol
Okay so my statement about loving summer might have been spoken to soon! As I sit her typing with my very talkative Katie bug by my side, with sweat dripping off me it takes me back to about seven years ago!
I was sitting in a chair not unlike the one I am in now, watching Bro. Don and Bro. Doug ( my brother in law and his dad) install a ceiling fan in Jana and Doug's house!
The one great thing about this weather and the weather down there in hot Veracruz was NO HAIR GEL!!!! And I never really even attempted to apply makeup because it would just sweat off!
I hate hair products and I hate to have to fix the mop! If I had my way it would be all shaved off and not a thought about it! But to please my husband (that's right girls I do obey sometimes)
I keep it long!
So to all of you girls who have it short and cute! I stick my tongue out at you! lol
