Summer!

Its my favorite time of the year! Hot sticky weather and lots of fun in the sun!!
Michael and I got to go to a graduation party today at our church and I must say that we both had a great time!
We ate, fellowshiped, ate, fellowshiped, walked the roes of our church garden and then we had a great game of VOLLY BALL!
I know all of my sibs are thinking who in the heck would want Rachel on their team! She is the most uncoordinated person in the family!
I had a great time and only missed a few balls!
When I was younger I remember it being hard for me to hit the base ball because I was left handed and was not sure where to stand and how to swing! I tried to do it like my brother and sisters but it did not feel right!
I must say being left handed has its down falls! It is hard for me to sign my name at the check out when I use a card and even when I play the piano its hard to get my hands going the right way! lol every one always tells me I play to fast!
But today I had a great time playing with my husband and a few friends! We had a few laughs at some mess ups but I found myself saying.
"Every one is doing a great job!" I guess that's when you know you are a real mom, when no matter what every one is doing its great! lol!
I did miss a ball when stinker had to go to the bathroom but it got called "Mommy interference" and we redid the serve!

The Bloom

I thought that I would pose this pic because I am soo excited to see it bloom!

I planted these rose bushes about three weeks ago and I am starting to feel like I am a home owner now. Maybe it has something to do with the whole putting yourself into something. Its like when you change your first dirty diaper and you realize that the baby does not go back to the hospital!

I remember being soo scared when I brought Kaitlynn home heck I was scare to death just trying to find a name for her!

She was soo sweet and innocent and i am still scared thinking about raising her and hoping that I instill some good morals and standards in her like my parents did in me.

I thank God every day for parents who taught me the difference between right and wrong and showed me how important it was study the bible and live your life like God wants you to.

I some times look at people and think " How can you do that and think that God will let you get away with it."

I always said that if God was not watching (but he always is) than Mom was! And some times she (and still does) scare the heck out of me.

There are things that I do (even though I am a married woman and mother) and that I do not do because I think of how Dad and Mom would be disappointed in me.

I under stand that you should do what God tells you to do and the way that God leads you but knowing that Mom and Dad don't approve helps you make some really GOOD decisions some times!

I have and idea!

Its such a nice night, Rain is falling and I am snuggled into my big green chair with a very furry friend in my lap.
Michael got called into work tonight ( on his day off) and so Kaitlynn and I are trying to enjoy the evening.
The other day on my way out to pick her up we ran across a yard sale and happen to find a really great deal on a doll house with all the fixings. She has played with it non stop.
It takes me back to when I was about eight and my sister Bethany and I got a doll house for Christmas. It was one of the best gifts I had ever got. I remember her and I trying to decided how to share it. Some times we would play to gather and some times I would make my little brother Titus play with me. The poor little guy used to hate it when i would make him play house or dress up with me. Don't get me wrong I loved to play cowboys and Indians just as much as the next kid.
I remember rubbing my face sooo raw with a tooth brush. We were pretending like we were on a cattle drive and we used towels for our bed rolls and a tooth brush was our razor.
I am please to see that Kaitlynn has some imagination like her old mom.
She told me the other day that she had an "IDEA"
I asked her "What is your idea bug?"
"Grandma's house" she smiled back at me! The rest of the conversation went on like this.
"Grandma Black, Grandma Gabbard or Grandma Thorp?"
"Um my motorcycle, and Sadie"
"Nana's house?"
"Yes, and Pop Pop and Emily"
"Okay Katie we will go see Nana and Pop Pop."
" And Papaw and Nana and Kitty?"
"Yes and Nana Gabbard and Papaw"
"And Grandma Black and the Horsey?"
"Yes Katie."
She has something special at all of her grandparents houses! And she never forgets!
Every time we go to or drive by the Chinese Restaurant she says,
"Nana and Pa Paw and the fish."
It amazes me at how much she learns and how fast she picks up on things.
Well supper dishes await and the bathtub calls! May your evening be blessed and your sleep good rest!

Whats up with us!

I just got off the phone with my sister and she asked me a question. She said "How are you doing?"
I thought to myself, that is a great question because I have not really posted much about what Michael and I have been up to lately.
My week goes something like this.
Sunday: Set the alarm for six thirty and wake up at seven thirty, get ready and go to church.
Teach Sunday school, play the piano, brain storm what to eat for lunch and try and get in a nap or a load of laundry ( we live about an half hour from church) go back to church for our Share your Faith class and then enjoy preaching of the word. Come home and spend some family time with CSI and popcorn!
Monday: Wake up at seven to a two year old jumping on my head singing " I want chocolate Milk and cereal, I wan to watch tigger and pooh"
try to take care of dishes and more laundry, clean out the toilets and sweep.
than more of " I want chocolate Milk and peanut butter sandwich. I want to do my letters"
So its time to put things on halt and take care of the bug.
Brain storm supper and get ready for visitation. Pray go out and pray some more that you don't get a slammed door!
Tuesday: Wake up to " I want Chocolate milk and cereal" and do the same thing only Michael works all day on Tuesday so we try to make it to the park or some kind of outing. This week Kaitlynn got to see the Butterfly's at the conservatory.
Wednesday: Wake up at 4 a.m and get ready for work. Get there and work until one or two. Go pick Kaitlynn up from Miss. Jens and then rush home for showers and supper. Time for Church!
Thursday: Another 4 a.m day and work for me. Then run back home to my honey and bug, Micahel has Thursdays off. We like to spend the evening in the yard or in another part of the house trying to get something big accomplished together.
Friday: Yes its another 4 a.m day but on Friday its a special 4 a.m. day I get to spend the whole day at work cooking bacon and eggs and listing to stupid people tell me they want their food cooked with NO oil or grease! Com one people you are at a restaurant that serves all FAT!!!
Saturday: 4 a.m day but I get off at like 2 or 3 then we run home after getting the bug at Miss. Kathy's house and brain storm supper and a movie! I love Saturday nights. It means the beginning of my three days off!
I usually put in forty to forty three hours a week at work! I do like my job for the most part but I really can't wait to get Michael out of school so I can be the STAY AT HOME MOM that I really want to be!
Michael is busy working allot of hours and putting allot of Bible study time in. He is really looking forward to attending NKU this fall. I am too! ;)
Kaitlynn is doing great on her school and is really coming along way in her speech. She sometimes has difficulty pronouncing words but she is getting better.
I found a new great web site www.fisherprice.com it has allot of great stuff on there.
Right now Michael and I are having a blast helping out in the church. The church just put in a church garden and so we are looking forward to working and reaping this year! I can't wait until the yellow squash com in and I can cook up a nice buttery mess! We love watching our little girl grow and learn! She is sooo smart, I think that she gets it from Michael! HE is the brains of this family.

The new cat!

It was a great relaxing night, our bellies were full and all three of us were relaxing on the couch watching one of the greatest movies of all! "Raiders of the lost ark!"
As we cheered Indiana Jones on and allowed our Spaghetti to digest in our stomach one of our four cats decided to join us and hopefully get a neck rub.
We have one orange (who was on our lap) one gray, black and a tiger striped. As I looked over at the food dish to see who was loudly crunching away on the Frisky's I noticed that the cat was orange!
To my surprise my husband had noticed as well and asked me.
"Is that one ours too?"
It is a very common thing for me to bring home stray animals but I usually bring home kittens and not full grown cats!
I looked down at my lap at the cat that I was petting who was still orange( who I hate) and looked back at the munching one five feet away!
At the same time Michael and I both bolted for the cat as we all made eye contact and sent our self's on a twenty minute chase, we shot him with Nerf guns when he was behind the couch trying to get him to come out and talked softly trying the NICE way It finally ended when I jumped on him with one of the blankets I had grabbed.
This cat was no tame kitty he fought tooth and nail trying to get away from me as Michael ran to get the cat carrier.
I am happy to say that he is now out side where he belongs and I am back to four tame cats!

I also wanted to add a note of pure JOY!
I got my FIRST brand spanking new appliance! I got a new microwave oven!
Let me tell you living with out a microwave is a pain in the butt and I really hope that I don't have to do it again. (any time soon)
I was soo excited when we went to the WAL-MART and picked it out.
Every one that knows me or knows anything about me knows that I love WAL-MART.
Were else can you go and get great prices on everything? I have tried all the other Kroger and Meijer but they are just over priced and under qualidied! ( Michael says that that's not a word but I am going to use it anyway because I can)

On other news I just found out that My other sister in law is pregnant. I am very happy for her! This will be her second!
Oh and My wonderful friend JamieWilson just had her baby boy Jeremiah Wilson. He is a beautiful baby!

The Fight is on!

Well the world is warm, the sun is shining and the flowers are starting to bloom!
I love spring and summer and for all of you globalist out there! I hope we do destroy the ozone, I mean its all going t I o burn anyway! I say BRING IT ON!!!! I am looking forward to hearing the trumpet sound!!! I can't wait to see the sword fly and heads fall!
To all those who are not Gods I pray the devil has pity on you because GOD will not!!!

I don't know what has gotten into me today! I just feel all fired up and ready to start the fight!
I remember when I was a kid and my Father would teach on Wednesday nights and I remember he did a study on REVELATION. I think that one verse that really stuck out to me was towards the end of the book!

It says " And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." oh that's Rev 22:19 KJV

I mean that's kinda scary to think about it. Imagine what God says about other things like murder, lying, deceitfulness! I just hate to hear sooooo many people say that God is a loving, and caring God. Don't get me wrong He is those things but he is also a God that hates some things. Like changing his word!

You are probably asking yourself why I am running on this, well i was looking up a verse at bible gateway.com and I forgot to select my version (I really sickens me to see how many wrong ones there are out there) and the verse popped up and I was like WHAT that's not the right verse. So I grabbed my bible and looked up the text. I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH THEY CHANGE, and this was the new KJV!!!! I don't really understand why we need a NEW version. I mean I have heard people say that its because they can't understand the old one! (the KJV1611) I am trying to figure out why its sooo hard to understand!

Of course I am still trying to grasp a few things I just feel really sorry for those who change Gods word, that's not something I would want to fool around with. I mean that's what God uses to Talk to us! He inspired, preserved one bible! That's right folks I am a firm believer that the KJV1611 is the only bible for the English speaking people!
I hope that you don't change what God wants to put into you every day!
I love to read Gods words that he preserved over the years for me!
Okay now I am going to go cut my lawn!!! Using a GAS mower! hehe

Before I was a Mom!

Before I was a Mom I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby,
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous,
I never thought about immunizations,
Before I was a Mom -I had never been puked on,Pooped on,Chewed on,Peed on,
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts,
I slept all night,
Before I was a Mom I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests,
Or give shots,
I never looked into teary eyes and cried,
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin,
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep,
Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down,
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt,
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much,
I never knew that I could love someone so much,
I never knew I would love being a Mo,
.Before I was a Mom -I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body,
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby,
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child,
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy,
Before I was a Mom -I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay,
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom,
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom.
I am not sure who wrote this but I thought that it was very true and I hope you enjoy it!
